The Last Post?
27 05 2008This might very well be this blog’s last post. I’m thinking of trying out something new in the next few days.

The Down Fever
26 05 2008I’ve got friends who thinks their whole life is a failure, everything they do is wrong. The world hates them and they hate themselves too. Seriously, I don’t understand why. I can’t stand having a conversation with them because they kind of irritate me. Here are some true examples of what they will say.
Me: What do you like to do in your free time?
Them: Find a quiet place, play some sad songs and cry.
Me: But why cry?
Them: My life sucks. I don’t like my family, my friends are avoiding me. I’m so hurt. I’m so ugly, nobody will like me. [And the list goes on...]
Me: The world is so beautiful!
Them: Forget it, it’s useless. I hate this world, it has done nothing for me.
Okay, now I’m getting irritated – even by typing out some scenarios. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong being sad. But there’s something wrong when you’re sad for your entire life.

Parrots Talk, Don’t They?
23 05 2008This is a parrot. It’s name is Mr. Yosuke Nakamura. Apparently, this parrot flew out of his cage and got lost in Japan. Nothing amazing? Wait till you hear what happens next.
Police rescued the African grey parrot two weeks ago from a neighbor’s roof in the city of Nagareyama, near Tokyo. After spending a night at the station, he was transferred to a nearby veterinary hospital while police searched for clues, local policeman Shinjiro Uemura said.
He kept mum with the cops, but began chatting after a few days with the vet.
“I’m Mr. Yosuke Nakamura,” the bird told the veterinarian, according to Uemura. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.
Japanese are a bunch of funny people. I mean, in one article alone – I’ve so many questions to ask! First of all, who would teach their parrot to identify itself with “Mr.”? Secondly, why does the police need to rescue a parrot from a roof?
Thirdly, doesn’t the local police have anything else to do than rescuing parrots and search for clues to find out where they live? The Japanese never fail to amaze me with the things that they do.
Talking about pets, I feel like keeping a small turtle. Maybe I can name it Mr. David Armstrong.

My Deepest Apologies
11 05 2008My Dell laptop of less than one month of age has died. Actually not really died, it can be fixed but I’m not going to because I’m going to refund it and buy something else.
A month back, I lambasted people (family, relatives, friends and strangers included) who said Dell was lousy. I thought I could believe in Dell but they disappointed me. Dell didn’t just disappoint me – they kicked me so hard in the stomach, sat on my face and farted on it.
After that, they left me to die in the wilderness. So, until some beautiful princess come and revive me by kissing me like in the fairy tales I buy a new computer (still deciding if I want a Desktop or Notebook), no blogging for me!

Dearest, FC Bonito
6 05 2008It’s been a long time since I last played a serious game of football. In the past, I used to play soccer everyday when school ends. That was how much I love playing. I play the role of a defender, it’s my favourite position. I like the feeling of stopping everything that comes at me.
I saw my soccer team-mates last night. They asked me when I’m coming back to the team. I stopped playing because I simply don’t have enough time. After a year long break, the passion for soccer has slowly faded away. My team has been doing very well recently, beating Arsenal Soccer School (4-0) in a friendly match.
I felt like joining them back, but I am afraid if I could cope in terms of time and my ability. They’ve been improving a lot but I’m still stuck at my own level or maybe even decreased because I haven’t played in a long time.
This photo was taken at Soccer Mania 2007 (Street-Soccer Competition). We sent two teams and we won first and third position. I’m quite proud to be on the team which got first (White Team) and I’m the captain! Okay, pride aside, that was in my glorious days. Now, I think I’m the weakest player in that photo already.
It’s a long story of how FC Bonito was formed. We started out as friends who loves playing soccer, get together once a month to play a match. Now, we have our own manager and has some financial backup. Come to think of it, it was truly amazing.
Should I join FC Bonito again?

Don’t Keep Me Waiting
22 04 2008I wanted to post this a long long time ago, I’m going to take some time out and write this post seriously. I’m sure many of you don’t like to wait for people – neither do I. But recently, I’m feeling the whole world likes to keep me waiting.

I mean, it’s fine when you’re late for 10 minutes but any more than that, I seriously find there’s something wrong with your attitude. There was this time, I met two different friends at a coffeeshop for dinner. What amazing is that they can be late for 30 minutes and an hour respectively.
Please, have some decency to respect people’s time. Recently, I’m having this rule for myself to follow. If anybody is late for more than 10 minutes, I shall go off first – no questions asked. I won’t even inform the other party that I’ve gone. You don’t respect me, I can’t find any reasons to respect you too.
So friends, mean what you say. If you’re going to be late, please inform me earlier so that I can do other stuffs first instead of waiting for you pointlessly. Please don’t only tell me you’ll be late 10 minutes before the meeting time.
I thank you all for your cooperation.

Buggy Windows Vista
18 04 2008Windows Vista is so buggy, they better release the Service Pack 1 to everyone real soon. And I don’t understand the reason why the whole world hates Dell’s computer so much! Some are just idiots who thinks Dell is lousy because their friends said so.
I like Dell, but I don’t like Windows Vista. But at the same time, I like some of the features it offers. Anyway, I’m going to miss my Dell for the next few days because I’m going chalet.
Let me end with some pictures of my brother, edited with Paint.NET!

The Power of Politics
16 03 2008I was reading a news article about 20 people getting arrested for staging a protest. The protest was obviously initiated by Singapore Democratic Party (SDP), an opposition political party.
I read two news reports of the protest. One by a local media and the other by an international media. There’s so much difference between them. I would not comment on that, it’s up to your own discretion.
Politics can be so funny at times. I got really curious and went to SDP’s website and saw this article. The placards they used are so funny. There are a lot more articles on their main page as well. All of them are so… that’s up to your own discretion too.
You can view more photos and find out more about the protest from this blog, which I strongly believe is written by an SDP supporter too.

Blogosphere
12 03 2008This is my sister, Lina Ang. She has been secretly reading my blog all these while. What’s wrong with that? There’s nothing wrong with her reading my blog. But it’s wrong when she starts copying my blog.
Hello there if you’re reading this. You better start having your own originality.
Update: Seems like she has changed it!
I managed to find a few of my cousins blog too. There’s this cousin of mine, Jaslyn. I can’t believe her blog is so emotional. But not bad, she has quite a good command of English.
Hello there if you’re reading this. It’s time to cheer up and look at the brighter side.
